Sad News

Warren passed away on Friday, March 31 at 2:30 in the afternoon surrounded by family and friends.  It was a very swift decline, but he was not in pain and knew that everyone was around to support him.  It was a calm and peaceful passing.

At his request there will be no formal funeral ceremony, but contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

Our family wants to express deep thanks to everyone who supported Warren over these many months.  It was a long, tough road, and he beat the odds for nearly a year and half.  He maintained his remarkable calm, pragmatism, even humor the whole time and we know he took great comfort in the love and concern his many friends and relatives sent his way.

In one of his last posts here he said, "So long, and thanks for all the fish." (from the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe").  Not angry, not fearful, he was always able to see the gentle humor in even the worst situation.  Warren, we will all miss you terribly, but will also always remember your marvelous strength through this.  Enjoy the fish, wherever you are.
